Level 2 Award for Personal Licence Holders

This qualification is aimed at individuals working in, or preparing to work in, any industry that involves the retail sale of alcohol in England and Wales. Anyone wishing to sell or authorise the sale of alcohol by retail on licensed premises must hold a personal licence.

 

This qualification is usually delivered over 1 day. These include the nature, purpose and period of validity of a personal licence, the application process and legal duties when applying for a personal licence, the legal duties of a personal licence holder, the roles, responsibilities and functions of licensing authorities, the nature and strength of alcohol and the effect on the body and the law in relation to premises licences.

 

This qualification is assessed by a multiple-choice examination.

Scottish Certificate for Personal Licence Holders at SCQF Level 6

This qualification is aimed at individuals who are involved in the sale of alcohol in both on-sales and off-sales environments in Scotland only!

To complete this qualification learners should expect to undertake 10 hours of learning - blended course. These include an introduction to licensing, the responsible operation of licensed premises and the effect of irresponsible operation on society and health.

 

These include the nature, purpose and period of validity of a personal licence, the application process and legal duties when applying for a personal licence, the legal duties of a personal licence holder, the roles, responsibilities and functions of licensing authorities, the nature and strength of alcohol and the effect on the body and the law in relation to premises licences.

 

This qualification is assessed by a multiple-choice examination.

Scottish Certificate for Personal Licence Holders (Refresher) at SCQF Level 6

This qualification is aimed at individuals who are involved in the sale of alcohol in both on-sales and off-sales environments in Scotland only! Learners will need a refresher qualification to support an application for demonstrating to a licensing board that they have completed their mandatory refresher training.

 

To complete this qualification learners should expect to undertake 10 hours of learning. These include an introduction to licensing, the responsible operation of licensed premises and the effect of irresponsible operations on society and health.

 

This qualification is assessed by a multiple-choice examination.
