'Compliance'
Our Thai course director, Dr Khanungnit (K) Garnett, is an approved tutor of many UK reputable Awarding Bodies, including (previously CIEH), BIIAB, HABC, VTCT and ESB. Thai Staff Training offers compliant qualifications, including Food Hygiene and APLH (alcohol license), which you must acquire and become knowledgeable prior to commencing your Thai restaurant business in the UK.
A course book in Thai language will be provided to the candidates after confirmed booking - to read prior to the class and/or to keep as a reference source. At the end of the training, there will be a multiple-choice examination paper (in Thai language, for Thai candidates) provided by UK Awarding Body. Certificates are normally dispatched within 30 days after successful exam result.
'Supervisors & Owners'
We offer DPS, Health and Safety and First Aid training - from a basic course of 1 day training to 3 days for supervisor and/or appointed first aider.
DPS (Designated Premises Supervisor) is an appointed person who is accountable (responsible) for the licensed premises. You cannot sell and/or serve alcohols without the DPS. To be a DPS s/he must already holds a Personal License card.
To achieve this recognised training qualification will help you progress your skills and experience within the licensed retail sector.
'CPD Courses'
All food handlers have a legal responsibility to ensure that the food they manufacture, sell and/or serve is safe for the consumer to eat, and this is particularly true when providing food products to people with food allergies or intolerance. Therefore, it is extremly vital that all of the Thai restaurant owners know this and comply. At Thai Staff Training, we offer a half-day 'Food Allergy' and 'Food Labelling' - the two CPD courses that are highly recommended by the UK commercial insurers and local authority EHOs.
We offer training both in-house (on your premises) and public classes.
Course runs regularly (weekend courses are also available) in our London, Banbury and Satelite venues.
