Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering

This course has been designed to help anyone who handles, prepares or serves food in the catering industry understand their legal responsibilities and know what constitutes best practice in regards to controlling food safety hazards, controlling temperatures, food storage, food preparation, personal hygiene and premises cleaning. By law, all food handlers must have an understanding of the basic principles of food hygiene and know how to work safely so as to protect the food they serve from contamination.

The course provides learners with up-to-date food hygiene information using a range of written text - available in Thai language for Thai candidates - interactive exercises and video content to ensure learners thoroughly comprehend their food safety responsibilities.

 

For Thai candidates, this course is offered by an approved Thai tutor - Ingkarat R.(Kru Ing).

A Thai course book will be provided to all candidates after booking to read prior the class and to keep as a reference source. At the end of the training, there will be a multiple-choice examination paper (in Thai language, for Thai candidates) provided by an Awarding Body. Certificates are normally dispatched within 30 days after successful exam result.

Level 3 Award in Food Safety in Catering

This qualification is aimed at those working in the catering industry who are at, or wish to progress to, a higher or supervisory level.

 

To complete this qualification learners should expect to undertake a minimum of 20 hours of learning. 

 

These include ensuring compliance with food safety legislation, the application and monitoring of good hygiene practice, how to implement food safety management procedures and the application and monitoring of good practice regarding contamination, microbiology and temperature control.

 

This qualification is assessed by a multiple-choice examination.

Level 2 Award in HACCP for Catering

This course is aimed at those working in a food catering environment and other food handlers. The qualification is intended for those already working in HACCP catering teams and those who are preparing to work in the industry.

 

This qualification is usually delivered over 1 day.

 

These include knowing the procedures required to develop food safety management systems based on HACCP principles and also how to develop these systems based on HACCP principles.

 

This qualification is assessed by a multiple-choice examination.

Level 3 Award in HACCP for Catering

This qualification is aimed at those responsible for assisting in the development and maintenance of HACCP systems in a catering environment. It is suitable for learners who are already working in a catering who have knowledge of food safety, hazards and controls and also for those owning or managing smaller food businesses. 

 

This qualification is usually delivered over 2 days. 

 

These include understanding the importance of HACCP based food safety management procedures, the preliminary processes for HACCP based procedures, how to develop HACCP based food safety management procedures and how to implement HACCP based food safety.

 

This qualification is assessed by a multiple-choice examination.
